Apple Unveiled new iPad Mini and iPad Air with Pencil Support




These two devices of the Apple are launched without any rumors and no specifications were released before its launch. Apple quietly launched 5th-generation Apple iPad Mini (7.9 inches) and third-generation Apple iPad Air (10.5 inches).

These are updated version of its predecessors and both models are brought up to parity with the iPhone XS and the iPad Pro. Both iPads include Apple’s A12 Bionic chip processor, three times faster than its previous versions, in combination with Apple’s neural engine and M12 coprocessor, and most interestingly they support Apple Pencil.

iPad Mini 5:


Comparatively iPad Mini 5 has 3x better performance and 9x better GPU performance. Unlike its previous version, iPad Mini 4, it supports the first-generation Apple Pencil as well. it maintains its 7.9-inch screen which features and impressive resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels with 500 nits of brightness and True Tone technology. This display is 25 percent brighter than the earlier.

This has 8 MP rear camera and 7 MP selfie camera. It comes up with thick bezels with front camera on the top and fingerprint reader in bottom bezel. Exact capacity of battery is unknown in iPad Mini 5 like iPad Air 3.

It is available in three colors silver, rose gold, and black with starting price of $399.

iPad Air 3:


If we compare it with other versions, iPad Air 3 has more than 70 percent higher performance and processing abilities. It comes up with upgraded True Tone Technology with addition of approx. 500, 000 pixels. It includes advanced retina display as well.

iPad Air 3 is 10.5-inches with resolution display of 2224 x 1668 pixels with pixel density of 264 ppi. It is suitable for both Apple Keyboard and Apple Pencil.
It is identical to iPad Mini 5 in features and specifications. It is available with a WiFi only model at $449 and a WiFi+cellular model at $629.

Firefox Disables All Add-Ons due to Pesky Certificate

Firefox users may have noticed that some of their add-ons/extensions have suddenly stopped working today. Under the extensions tab Firefox displays “could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled”. According to Mozilla’s bug tracker, this is actually a bug and is explained as “all add-ons are disabled due to the expiration of intermediate signing certificate”. This issue occurred at 5 AM (local time) or 12 AM GMT/UTC, all thanks to the above mentioned bug. The affected extensions include LastPass, Ghostery, Download Manager (S3), Dark Mode, Honey, uBlock Origin, Greasemonkey, NoScript, and others. The affected extensions have completely stopped working and cannot be re-downloaded from the store.
