Artificial intelligence is adopted in all of the top
industries of the world, which focuses on problem solving of businesses and
provide support in decision making which is a hard task conducted by humans.
According to Mitra Azizirad, “There is a gap between what people want to do and the reality of what
is going on in their organizations today, and the reality of whether their
organization is ready. Developing a strategy for AI extends beyond the business
issues. It goes all the way to the leadership, behavior and capability required
to instill an AI-ready culture in your organization”. For filling this gap Microsoft
has launched its own AI business school.
What to Expect
The Redmond-based firm has announced a free, online course
named ‘AI Business School’. This course series is aimed to empower business
leaders, and enable them to solve business problems by utilizing AI.
The AI business school will provide online course material
which will be readily available for every interesting person. The course
material will include brief written case studies and guides, plus videos of
lectures, perspective and talks that busy executives can access in their spare
time. Focus of this course is on strategy, culture and responsibility.
“The school is a deep
dive into how you develop a strategy and identify blockers before they happen
in the implementation of AI in your organization,” said Azizirad.
INSEAD, a graduate business school, is working in
collaboration with Microsoft to develop an effective and workable module for AI
business school. This school covers everything from building communication
skills to be prepared for introducing AI culture. To deliver the objective,
real life examples are included in this course. “Over time, as companies become operationally dependent on these
machine learning algorithms and models that they build, there’s going to be
much more focus on governance,” said
McQuire, the CCS Insight analyst.
